studioEAST is a multi-disciplinary practice of chartered architects based in Perthshire operating throughout Scotland. Our principal office is based in Perth, centrally located for projects throughout Scotland and further afield.

We are an experienced practice with expertise in private housing and commercial projects. Our portfolio includes bespoke new build houses, residential developments, extensions and renovations as well as agricultural, industrial, hotel, sports/leisure facilities and community projects.

We strive to accurately meet our client’s budget and work within both traditional and contemporary boundaries.

Conservation Accreditation

studioEAST carries extensive experience in working on listed and traditional buildings. Previous projects have included a range of works included repair, renovation, conversion and extension to heritage assets including in conservation areas.

If required, we can draw on the experience of our consultant Conservation Accredited Architect who carries The Royal Incorporation of Architects Accreditation in Building Conservation.

This qualification proves a level of skill, competence and experience to both clients and funding providers, enabling us to work on Listed Buildings, in Conservation Areas and Scheduled Monuments where this qualification is required.

A good knowledge of best practice and advisory standards of repair allows a smooth passage through Planning & Listed Building consents as well as funding opportunities and adding value to a property.

Software & Technology

We use the most up to date industry standard software available. This is updated regularly and includes Autodesk AutoCAD (2D drafting), Autodesk REVIT (BIM & 3D modelling), Photoshop & Sketchup (3D modelling & Rendering). Our in-house project management software allows for effective and efficient administration of the project workflow.

3D & Virtual Reality

studioEAST has taken steps to implement BIM (Building Information Modelling) within the practice. Using industry standard software (Autodesk REVIT) designs are developed not only in conventional 2D drawings but also in 3D.
